One can seek employment opportunities in almost all related production industries, hospitals and research institutes.
One could also find jobs in the government sector as well, in various arms of state and central government.
One can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges.

Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc. To give you a brief idea,
- A skilled engineer employed in private sector can expect income around Rs. 15, 000 to Rs. 20000 every month in the beginning stage.

MBA is a post graduate degree and is offered by universities whereas PGDM is post graduate diploma and is offered by AICTE approved autonomous institutes.
Both these course have almost the same course curriculum and is equally accepted by corporates for job so you may pursue any of these course.
However if you wish to pursue Phd in future in that case you may consider pursuing MBA only.
While taking admission your emphasis should be more on taking admission in good universities or institutes.
You may consider some of the below mentioned points while selecting a institute or university to pursue MBA or PGDM program:

- Institute's infrastructure.
- Teaching faculty.
- Specialization offered.
- Past placements records.
- Tuition fees.
