Procedure :
To take admission, there is Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.

3. Select optional subjects considering your own comfort in understanding the subject and the process should be done carefully since it is the very deciding factor for your selection in this prestigious exam.
4. Preparation requires combination of smartness and hard work. Do the right things to gain an edge over your competition:
*Get the right books for Prelims
*Start preparing at least 10 months before
*Solve past year questions to test yourself on regular basis
*Cover the scoring sections early
*Cover the syllabus strategically. Don't go for a "prepare all" approach for prelims
*Balance paper 1 and 2

IF you wish to be a CA than you have to clear the following hurdles:
Get register yourself with ICAI for CPT. They will alot you a Unique Registration number which will be your referance number for any issues with ICAI.
- Pass CPT examination
- Register/Enroll for Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC)
- Complete 9 months of Study Course.
- Complete 100 hours of Information Technology Training (ITT).
- Complete Orientation Course (35 hours spread over one week).
- Pass Group I or both Groups of Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE).
- Register as Articled Assistant for a period of 3 years.
- Pass Group II of IPCC if not already passed.
- Appear in Final Examination during last 6 months of 3 years of articled training.
- Pass both the Groups of Final examination.
- Get Final Examination Certificate.
- Complete remaining period of articled training, if applicable
- Complete Course on General Management and Communication Skill
- Enroll as a member of ICAI and designate as "Chartered Accountant".
Its one of the royal courses.
