If you look into current news, someone with less than 89 percentile also got admission. It all depends on multiple factors. Considering your percentile, definitely you are out from tier 1 institute but still you have opportunities in SIES Mumbai, KJ Somaiya Mumbai, Sydenham, BIMTECH, Christ, TAPMI, TISS, XISS, etc.

Both M.Tech and MBA are good career options after EEE engineering graduation degree. M.Tech will make you a specialist in the chosen field and you can make a career as a technologist. You may seek admission in M.Tech if you are technically inclined. If you are not technically inclined then you may opt for MBA and become a generalist. Currently, scope of MBA is wider but slowly industry has started paying good salaries to technologist also.

Both the fields are good. If you are looking forward working in the government sector then civil is a better option. Though in the current scenario, computer science is a much more preferred branch. As the technology is growing in the field of digital networks, more scope is in CS as compared to civil.

Hi Pradam,
Based on your son's JEE score, he will not get any chance for the topmost colleges of India, which consider JEE Mains score, but there's no need to get dis-heartened. Yu may apply for different states counselling which consider JEE Mains marks as in MP and Maharashtra. You may also look forward for the exams that your son may have applied for.
Best wishes.

Fee structure, if you come through CET, will be less than 50000. If you come through COMEDK this year, the fee has increased to 2 lakhs (I think, not sure). But through COMEDK, it's more than 1.5 Lacs.

Hi Biren,
Since NITs are highly preferable for doing B.Tech because of the value of its degree and good packages, you must go for SVNIT first. But unfortunately, if you don't get a chance to study the branch of your preference at SVNIT, you can opt for DAIICT as it is also a very good college.

Hi Bonam,
Based on your JEE Mains marks, you may get lower branches in lower NITs like in Silchar, Meghalaya and Srinagar. You may choose them but you should better go for other top colleges. You can consider these colleges as the backup.
