Since 6.5 CGPA is a CGPA on the 10-point scale and most universities abroad accept CGPA on a 4-point scale only. Hence, we will convert 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale to a CGPA on 4-point scale to determine whether it is good enough for getting accepted by the universities abroad or not.

A 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale would be 2.6 on a 4-point scale. Universities abroad require a minimum 3.3 GPA for admissions. Hence, a 6.5 CGPA is not that good for studying abroad.

CGPA can be calculated from a percentage by using the Percentage to CGPA formula, which is:

CGPA = Percentage ÷ 9.5, where 9.5 is the conversion factor

To calculate the CGPA of 80% marks, divide the percentage value 80 by 9.5. Therefore, CGPA = (80 / 9.5) = 8.4
