Dear Sandhya54974
As UP is a state having most students qualified with good rank in JEE Mains. So it is understood that there will be much more competition for the seat in NIT Allahabad. In fact for the branch like Computer Science there are many more students who wants a seat in that particular Branch. College have a limit of students in each quota i.e. Home Quota and Other state Quota and Home state usually gets filled early. During our time i.e. AIEEE 2012 students having rank upto 4300 approx (General) get CSE in "Home Quota" while students from other state gets CSE even in rank upto 5000 approx (General)
I hope it helps.
Thank you

Hi Kamal,
Great! Congratulation for BBA. Now don't get confused b/w MBA & PGDM, The degree of MBA is offered by 'Universities' or 'Colleges that are affiliated to Universities'. There are many Colleges and Institutions that are affiliated to a university and can offer an MBA degree while PGDM is offered by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved Institutions. However, accreditation by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) gives an institute's PGDM equivalence to MBA. But, it has to be noted that a one-year PGDM course is not equivalent to MBA.

At SJMSOM, we conduct WAT(Written ability test) and not GD (Group Discussion). For WAT I would suggest you to read the newspaper regularly to be aware of politics, general happenings, sports etc. Also try picking topics an practice writing in a structured manner. The structure and though flow is just as much important as the content.
