1)
To be eligible for B.E. / B.Tech aeronautical engineering :
- You need to complete 12th with minimum 60% (Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry) from recognized board to join good college. However, there are colleges which take students who have scored 45% - 50%.
- You need to appear in entrance exam.

After completing diploma in mechanical engineering, you may join lateral B.Tech course in mechanical field instead of civil engineering as it is not a related field. Degree course will open more career opportunities for you.

Procedure :
- To take admission, you need to sit for Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.
