To pursue a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) program in India, you need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria, including minimum educational qualifications and minimum marks. The minimum marks requirement varies from college to college and may also depend on the category to which you belong.
As per the Bar Council of India (BCI) rules, to be eligible for admission to a three-year LLB program, you need to have completed graduation in any discipline with at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates). For a five-year integrated LLB program, you need to have completed 10+2 with at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates).
In your case, if you have completed your graduation with 40% marks and post-graduation with 54% marks, you may not be eligible for admission to an LLB program in most colleges. However, there may be some colleges that have a lower minimum marks requirement and you can check with those colleges for their eligibility criteria.
Alternatively, you can also consider pursuing other courses in the legal field such as diploma courses, certificate courses, or online courses in various areas of law, which may have different eligibility criteria.
