For securing an admission in NIT Nagaland, a candidate must follow this process: 

1. Secure atleast 75% in XII examinations. 60% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

After qualifying, a candidate must complete all the formalities like fees, etc. The candidate has got admission into NIT Nagaland after completing every formality. 

In the case of NRI candidates, they will be able to apply for NATA with their passports. The candidates mus submit their passport details and other important information, while filling out the NATA application form. It is also to be noted that the application fee for the NRI candidates will be different than the Indian students.
