Hello Dr. Kalpana Bhat, I can understand your angst and anxiety. Frankly speaking, no one can predict what is going to happen in the future. We all can have educated guesses. My guess is that, in India, the scope for jobs in this sector is going to open up in a great way. ISRO has already started allowing private companies to participate in all activities. Things look very bright. Best wishes to you.

IIT Hyderabad does offer a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). The ECE department at IIT Hyderabad was established in 2008 and has been offering undergraduate and graduate programs in ECE since then. The curriculum includes courses in electronic circuits, signals and systems, digital signal processing, communication systems, and computer networks, among others. The department also has active research programs in areas such as wireless communication, embedded systems, photonics, and micro/nano electronics. So, ECE is definitely taught at IIT Hyderabad.
