Below are the requirements for applying to University of the Arts London-

Academic prerequisites
1. Completed at least one year of appropriate undergraduate coursework at a higher education institution abroad
2. A minimum GPA of 3.0 or an equivalent
3. Must satisfy the English language requirement of UAL.

English language proficiency needed

Be a native of a country where the majority language is English; attend university there for at least one year
OR
6.0 or above on the IELTS (or equivalent), with a minimum score of 5.5 in each of the component areas. More advanced IELTS scores of 6.5, 7.0, or 7.5 are needed for some courses.

For students applying for a student visa, the English language requirements could be different from those mentioned above.

Undergraduate courses

1) BA (Hons) in Product Design - Personal Statement or Essay, 120 UCAS tariff points, Five GCSE passes at grade 4 or above, Portfolio, Reference Letters
2) BA (Hons) in Animation - 2 A-Levels at grade C or above, 96 UCAS tariff points, Three GCSE passes at grade 4 or above
3) BA (Hons) in Product and Furniture Design - 3 GCSE passes at grade 4 or above (grade A -TO ), Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Level 3 or 4), 2 A Levels at grade C or above

Postgraduate Courses –
1) MA Industrial Design - Work experience, resume, equivalent European or international qualification, portfolio
2) MA Fashion Journalism - Honours degree at 2.1 or above in a related discipline
3) MA Film - Personal Statement or Essay Honours degree in a relevant field, a portfolio of moving-image work

In many cases, candidates who are awaiting their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination results are eligible to apply for the Lloyd Law Entrance Test (LET). However, admission to the programme may be contingent on meeting the minimum educational qualifications once the results are officially declared.

Colleges and universities often provide a provision for provisional admission or conditional admission to candidates who have appeared for their 10+2 exams but have not yet received their results. To be eligible for such provisional admission, candidates typically need to:

1. Complete the Application: Fill out the LET application form and provide all the necessary information and documents, including details of the 10+2 examination you have appeared for.

2. Provide Proof of Appearing: Some institutions may require you to provide proof of having appeared for the 10+2 examination. This can include a copy of your admit card or an official document from the examination board.

3. Meet Minimum Qualification: Once the 10+2 results are declared, candidates must meet the minimum qualification criteria specified in the admission brochure. This typically involves securing the minimum required percentage or CGPA.

4. Submit Final Results: After receiving your 10+2 results, you will need to submit the official mark sheet or certificate to the college as part of the admission process.

1. Send in an application, first. Students from abroad can apply on the application portal of the university.
You must submit an international undergraduate application if you are a student outside of the US and have a valid visa.
2. Send your transcripts from each secondary school you attended or upload them. You MUST provide an authentic English translation if your transcripts, diploma, or any other academic documents are not written in English. Include any AP, IB, or GCE results.
3. Submit the results of the TOEFL, IELTS, PTE-A, or SAT.
4. Submit a total of two letters of recommendation from professors.
5. Send a duplicate of your passport.
6. If you are applying for an F 1 visa, you must provide a bank statement and an affidavit of financial support.
Application deadlines are Jul 1, 2025 & Dec 1, 2025.

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the AILET exam centre after reporting time. Thus, candidates must ensure they reach their exam centre on time. Candidates cannot change their AILET exam centre if they are late. They will have to take the test at the allotted AILET exam centre 2024 only which is why, it is important to download the AILET admit card as soon as it releases. Candidates get ample time to make arrangements for the exam day, if their test centre is far off.

The reporting time will be mentioned in every candidate's admit card. Candidates must also note that they can take the exam only at the centre mentioned on their AILET admit card. They will not be allowed to enter the exam centre at any other exam venue. Thus, they must check the location of their exam centre before the exam day so that they know the requirements to reach the location on time on the exam day.
