(Merit Scholarship): The merit scholarship is initiated for meritorious students based on their performance at the pre-entry level and subsequent performance in various tests and examinations. The student will be awarded a merit scholarship in September each year. In the first year, the scholarship will be decided on the merit of the pre-entry marks, mid-semester test and attendance in regular classes. Merit scholarships for the consecutive years will be decided based on his/her performance in one end-semester and two mid-semester examinations of each year. The scholarship will consist of a percentage refund of fees. Each combination will be considered for two merit scholarships. Combinations with more than one section will be considered proportionately. The fee refund/reduction will be considered as follows. Students in the fee range of:
Upto to Rs. 10,000 - 50%
Rs. 10,000-Rs 25,000 - 25%
Above Rs. 25,000 - 10%

First of all, you will get admission in an IT college according to the eligibility criterion. If you meet all points of eligibility, then you may fill the form of that particular college. According to me, the basic eligibility requirements are age eligibility, score in your class 12th boards, and if you want to do Diploma in IT, you are eligible right after passing out your class 10th boards. After the eligibility criteria, there comes choosing your college/university/institute. So, if you are particular about the area of college such that it must specifically nearer to your hometown, then, you will have to make a list of the top colleges which you may apply for. Some colleges are conducting their own entrance exams through the score which they make selection of students. While some colleges are to be visited, give an interview and fill the admission form. Kindly Google about colleges which you are listing according to the average students got placed and had placements last year and the number of companies visited last year, average salary package of the college, etc.
