Generally, candidates join lateral B.E / B.Tech course after completing diploma in any engineering field to get direct entry into the second year. Degree course will open more opportunities for you.
* Eligibility Criteria :
You need to score minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the diploma course. You need to sit for Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.

UPSC examination is conducted every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS, IPS, IFS officers are recruited.
Eligibility Criteria for UPSC :
- You need to pass graduation in any field from any recognized university.
- You are eligible if you are in the final year of graduation.
- Your age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 years of relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively.
- You must be an Indian citizen.

In BCA (bachelor of computer application ) related to the applications of computer in this yu have studies about the c , c+ , java , web designing etc. but not in deeply .
while b.tech (bachelor of technology ) relatd to the field of engineering . in this you worked with the engineering fields and gives you both pratical and theory knowledge .
in my opinion you can go through the B.TECH field because the modern world need this and having large scope as compared to the BCA .
