The eligibility criteria for admission in Bachelor of Management Studies [BMS] is different in various Institutions. Passing Class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in any stream is required in many of the institutions for which the admission is through entrance tests. However, there are certain institutes and colleges which considers candidates who have passed the +2 level of examination with mathematics as one of the subjects. Likewise, admission to some colleges are based on the merit of qualifying examinations. For instance, Institute of Management & Computer Studies requires mathematics but Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics and Delhi University doesn't. Now you have to look at the different colleges that offers this programme and their eligibility criteria.

Hi Srini, No, Bank jobs are not as tough as CA. If we talk about exam also, Bank PO is a competitive exam covering a variety of subjects and you need to work really hard to pass it. However, CA on the other hand is a rigorous course that usually takes 4.5 years to complete. It includes detailed knowledge of financial reporting, financial management, cost accounting, taxation, law and audit. Moreover, there is a need of compulsory 3 years article ship training. Apart from the work, you may have to take a separate tuition for each subject which you will have to manage before or after your office hours. So, in my opinion, CA is a lot tougher and chances of clearing all the exams in the first attempt are also less.

If you have an option to work for another year, it would be better for your future and you are advised to take up a full-time MBA from a B-School which can guarantee placement assistance. However, your future will depend on how much employability skills you have and how successfully you can cut through the market competitions in the job market. Also, within the organisation, you will be employed to move forward and rise in your life and career. MBA degree will not ensure your success as millions of MBAs including many of those who are from premier B-Schools are today either unemployed or underemployed. It is highly advisable that you focus on improving your employability skills and application capabilities over merely getting an MBA degree. Distance education MBA is okay if you are already in a good job or in business but in a current economic situation and gloomy job market it is difficult to get a job with distance education MBA and if you get one you can get it without the MBA degree too.
