Firstly, just complete your B.Tech to give the GATE exam for M.Tech admission in government and government funded college for the admission through CCMT. So, do not take any tension now for the GATE exam, just prepare for the better college for your graduation. After completing your undergraduate degree, be prepared for the GATE exam, if you wish to pursue M.Tech from IIT IIIT etc. The syllabus of GATE is also from B.Tech syllabus only. The extras are the general aptitude and verbal aptitude or reasoning. Just check it on the NET, if you want to know more about GATE.

Just prepare according to the syllabus for ECE in GATE exam. Be concentrate and give time for self-studies at least for 6-8 hourrs in a day. Go for some study material on the site, or you can buy it from a good coaching for GATE preparation and just take some mock test and test series from GATE forum coaching or another, according to your own wish. Practice general aptitude and practice previous question paper. Keep working on your timing i.e, how fast you can complete the paper.

Dear,
Your scores are low in CMAT so it may be possible to get admission through it. Also, the cut-off for CMAT changes every year so try to score more good marks.

Yes, either the candidates must have passed B.Sc from any recognized university or the candidates must have passed Diploma in engineering from any recognized university.
He/she will have to appear for the entrance test too.
