As in India, girls won't prefer BE in marine engineering. So, you will find an acute shortage of girl in your college. On an average, if we consider, you will find around 10-15 girls in your college.

Placements: Placements were fine, but the package and the number of companies visiting the college can be improved.
The role mainly offered was the associate software engineer.

Hi Sofi,
VIT, Vellore is the best private engineering college in India from last year as per NIRF ranking. So, it's a very wise choice for doing engineering. As far as management quota is concerned, please talk to the management as they will only give you more insights.

Since PESSAT is an online exam so previous year papers are not available. Still, if you want to solve you can search for COMEDK previous year papers or BITSAT previous year paper. The difficulty level is somewhat similar.
