NIT-K (Surathkal) is better in terms of placements than IIT Bhubaneswar. Recently IIT Bhubaneswar might get some good placements but NIT-K is much older and have more connections.

Hi,
Visa interviews mainly comprise of career plans and intention of studying. Be confident and display good communication skills. Questions such as why the programme, what you plant to do and where you plan to work after studies etc. are asked typically. With a good visa officer, things may go easy. Being honest and confident is the best trick. Any plans of immigration or moving to US permanently will lead to a visa rejection.

Quants is a subject would ask you for your patience and hardwork. The only and the best way to prepare is to practice as much as you can. Try solving past papers and also give number of online mock test. Google out shortcuts for certain chapters. I would say along with hard work you would need to work smartly. Try figuring out which chapters has the highest weightage and focus more on the same and practice more sums. Practicing more and more would not only help you increase your speed but also would help you to boost your confidence along with it.
