Your query is too open ended. Actually you must first decide on your aptitude for any specific discipline of studies, since the whole world of choices available and an equal number of Best Colleges to choose.
So get back after deciding your choice of study and any specific state in India that you prefer. OK?

I don't think that will be a problem. Anyway the final say is with CBSE, N.Delhi.
Visit: www.cbse.in and send a query to them by email, for the exact status.

Home science is a separate field of profession as is mass communication. You are free to pursue either. However, having put in efforts for graduation in Home Science, it would be better for YOU if try to make your career in the same field. I woud rather suggest you do a FULL TIME Mba(Operations Research), while simultaneously completing a distance program from IGNOU (www.ignou.ac.in) in Mass Communications, to whet your choice in Mass Communication. It will also come in handy if you chose to publish your specialist opinions later in your life. Good Idea?

Now you are better with your question. Good.
If your aim is to get a good job at the earliest(perhaps to support your family), I suggest you finish B.Com, and clear the Ias (Civil Services Exams). An Ias Officer is definitely THE BEST option in India. However you must begin your preparations from the 2nd year on-wards by getting the Ias Guide books or better join some reputed coaching centres in town. Do you Know if you are above 21 years, you can appear for this Exam (refer www.upsc.gov.in) even in the final year! If lucky, you can join service the next day after you finish your degree! Sounds good?
