Aspirants who passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject with 75% aggregate (65% for SC/ST candidates) are eligible to take admission. BTech CSE students receive higher packages majorly. The highest and average package offered during IIIT Kalyani BTech CSE placements 2024 was at INR 44 LPA and INR 10.72 LPA, respectively. Further, the placement rate recorded during placements 2024 was 89.33%. 

The BTech programme will cost you INR 7.2 Lacs for tuition, INR 3.9 Lacs for housing, and INR 3,620 as a one-time fee. When more fee components are added, the overall fee will increase. Candidates need to get a qualifying score in JEE Main. The candidates must next show up for the counselling sessions that JOSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) organises, which assigns seats to the candidates. Students should meet the JEE Main Cutoff for admission to the college.IIIT Kalyani's B.Tech. programme admits 130 students for only one of its discipline, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). Seats are filled up through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) after qualifying JEE (Main) examination administered by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

No, entrance exams are required for enrollment in all courses at IIIT Kalyani. JEE Main is used for BTech admission, and GATE/UGC NET/CSIR NET is used for PhD admission. Candidates must take the institute's entrance exam in order to be considered for admission to Executive M.Tech programs. Therefore, as of right moment, there is no provision for direct admission.

BTech is offered in five specialisations, namely Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Civil and Mechanical Engineering.

Candidates who have completed a master's degree with at least 60% aggregate are eligible to apply for the M.Tech course.

NIT Uttarakhand achieved 45.66% overall BTech placements for the academic year 2021-2022 till now. As per the latest report, a total of 127 students were eligible for NIT Uttarakhand placements 2022, of which 58 have been placed so far. The highest packages offered till now stood at INR 34 LPA. 

In 2021 cutoff, BTech CSE was the course with the highest cutoff of 16613. 

Admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE score followed by CCMT/ COAP Counselling.
