Hello Abhinav,You should decide whether to join or not?because you know about your condition better.If you speak interms of money,my advice is that your ROI in XIME after two years should be high(if your salary is high now i.e.,>3.5 lakhs per annum).I dont know your years of experience and current salary.I am giving XIME Placement status.At 2014 Average CTC:6 lakhs Highest 10.5 Lakhs Lowest 4 lakhs.If you want MBA for learning you are always welcome to XIME.You can learn a lot even though the cost of PGDM is high.In-depth subject know;edge,Managerial/Industrial exposure, Communication, Outside Classroom learning will be excellent.I dont know which is your criteria?Apply to atleast 4 B-Schools then decide which suits you best based on your passion,goal,B-School status.You could get everything about particular B-School through their website,Google Search, and most importantly https://shiksha.com through current students like me.Then decide wisely.If you still need any clarifications ask me without hesitation.All the best bye

The All India Services have a crucial role to play in the development of the country. The Central and State Civil Servants are in charge of the governance of the various departments (non-military) to ensure that the administrative infrastructure works according to the Constitutional provision.
The personnel of these service eventually occupy the most important echelons of the bureaucracy that are very closely associated with decision making, policy formulations and its execution.
Skills required
Civil servants are expected to show understanding of national and international affairs,and trends
Good peoples skills
Capability to assess the mood of the people
Commitment to the governance of the nation
Good communication ability
Making sound decisions
Ability to take orders and maintain the line of command
The Civil Services Examinations are held in two phases - the first is called the CSAT which replaces the Preliminary Examination (Prelims). This has 2 papers - the general studies and general aptitude paper.The second Main Examination (Mains). After that, there is the Personality Test or Viva-Voce before the final selection. Graduates can take the entrance examination .
Besides Civil Services. Recruitment of Doctors, Engineers, Geologists, Economists and Statisticians for posts in the Central government organizations is done by UPSC.
