Hi,
Preparing for CDS requires combination of smartness and hard work. Do the right things to gain an edge over your competition:
*Get the right books
*Start preparing at least 10 months before
*Solve past year questions to test yourself on regular basis
*Cover the scoring sections early
*Cover the syllabus strategically. Don't go for a "prepare all" approach
*Balance all the papers
I would suggest you to spend quality time everyday by reading journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. You may also refer the books below:

Hi,
You can go for higher studies like diploma in engineering. There are also specialized short-term courses for certain trades, offered in Advanced Training Institutes, which will enhance your skills.
Most industries/companies accept ITI graduates only as apprentices and they train them for a period of 6 months to 1-2 years, depending on the company. You may be considered suitable for employment only after the training period.
Job opportunities are also available in government organizations like Indian Army, Indian Navy, Air force, Railways, Telecom and paramilitary forces like Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force etc.
