A candidate must have passed 10+2 or higher secondary examination from a recognised board with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% for reserved category). Final year or appearing students are also eligible to apply for JEE Mains provisionally. Also, he/she must have appeared in a national level entrance test like JEE Mains for the particular academic year. Specialisation for B.E/B.E Lateral Entry:

Eligibility for B.E Lateral Entry:
A candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering of minimum 3 years duration from a recognised board/University with at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for reserved category). The candidate must also attempt the PULEET Entrance test conducted by Panjab University for Lateral entry admissions.

Complete class 12th or equivalent by May 2019 or earlier. Obtain a minimum of 60% marks (or 6.0 grade on 10 point scale) in each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII. IIIT Hyderabad Eligibility
JEE eligibility criteria apply to all the IIITs for admissions to their undergraduate programs. Based upon their score and rank in the JEE Advanced exam, shortlisted candidates are called for counseling. Eligibility criteria for JEE is as follows:Students who are born on or after October 1, 1992 are eligible to apply. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) have been given a relaxation of 5 years. Aspiring candidates should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2016 or 2017. The candidates must have secured at least 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th Class Examination conducted by respective boards. For SC/ST students, there shall be a relaxation of 5% in this criterion. Aadhar cardis mandatory for all the Indian citizens who are taking JEE.
