 Both Jadavpur University (JU) and NITs (National Institutes of Technology) are reputed institutions for BTech programs, offering good placement opportunities. JU boasts a strong placement record, especially for programs like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ECE), and Information Technology (IT). JU attracts reputed companies from various sectors, including IT, core engineering, consulting, and finance. Some examples include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Tata Motors, etc.

However, there are many NITs across India, each with its own strengths and specializations. Some NITs like Trichy, Warangal, Surathkal, Kurukshetra are considered top-tier institutions with excellent placement records. Placement records can vary slightly between different NITs. Top NITs often boast very high placement rates and even higher average packages compared to JU (figures exceeding Rs. 15 LPA are reported).

Jadavpur University provides a wide selection of courses in a number of subject areas. Science, Arts, and Engineering & Technology comprise the university's three faculties. The Faculty of Engineering & Technology specifically offers thirty-seven postgraduate courses (M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Pharm/Evening M.E./M.Tech.), sixteen B.E. courses, three five-year (evening) engineering degree courses, two post-B.Sc. B.Tech. degrees, and one M.C.A. course. Furthermore, Jadavpur University offers more than 130 courses in subjects like arts, science, engineering & technology, and interdisciplinary studies at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate levels. Among the well-liked programmes available are the BTech, MA, MTech, BSc, and MSc degrees. The university is well-known for being accredited by the NAAC with a Grade "A" and for being at the state level.

A four-year BTech programme in a single specialism, such as computer Science and engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, or mathematical and scientific computing, is offered by the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM) Gwalior. Before applying, candidates must fulfil the BTech eligibility requirements. The candidate must have earned a 75% grade in class 12 or its equivalent, with Physics and Mathematics being required subjects along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational. The exam must have been administered by a competent board in 2022 or 2023. Admission is determined by JEE Mains rank through JoSAA counselling. For candidates who are not citizens of the United States, admission is determined by their SAT score.

According to the NIRF 2023, the istitute is rated 88th. Additionally, the institute is acknowledged as an imoortant national instition. The Socities Registration Act allowed IIIT Gwalior to be eatablished as an independent institution. A variety od undergraduate and postundergraduate courses are available at IIITM Gwalior. MBA is the main subject offered by IIITM Gwalior. The campus is split up into multiple blocks, some of which are used as housing units and the rest of which are used by different educational departments and resources centres.

IIITM Gwalior concluded the 2023 placement proces. INR 65 LPA was the highest package offered during the IIITM placemnt in 2023, and INR 24.31 LPA was the average package. In 2023, IIITM Gwalior's main employers were Google, Microsoft, Meta, Adobe, Amazon, Samsung, Deloitte, TCS, HCL, IBM and Dell. 

To be admitted to PG programmes, candidates must have GATE scores for MTech courses. MBA aspirants need to have CAT, MAT, or CMAT scores. For admission to a five year IPG course, candidates must have JEE Main qualification. Steps to Apply are as follows:

Step 2: Fill out the registration form with the required information, followed by clicking on the submit button.

Step 3: Fill out the detailed application form and upload scanned images and documents.

Step 4: Pay the application fees.

• Migration Certificate / Transfer Certificate. from the college last attended
• Character Certificate from the college last attended
• Medical Certificate of fitness from the Medical Officer in the prescribed format
• Category Certificate as per CCMT format for OBC,EWS,SC,ST and PH.

Application Fee:

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV IIITM) Gwalior offers students and staff extensive infrastructure. With all the latest facilities, the institute is built over an area of about 160 acres. The campus is divided into several blocks, some of which are designated for housing units and the remaining for various departments of education and resource centres. Computer laboratories and data processing centres are also available. ABV IIITM facilities include playgrounds and sports activities for student recreation. Non-resident Indians (NRIs), persons of Indian origin (PIOs), and foreign students are able to get admission to Undergraduate courses through the DASA (Direct Admissions to Students Abroad) scheme at IIITM Gwalior. Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) is a scheme for admission to undergraduate Engineering and Architecture programmes offered by the leading Indian institutes. Candidates will get admission under the DASA scheme only if they meet the eligibility criteria. Admissions under the DASA scheme shall be done on the basis of the ranks obtained by the students in JEE Main. The basic eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by the candidates are:

• Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics, Physics, and one of the other subjects (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology) from any system of education recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
• Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination with the above-mentioned subjects and expecting their final results by November 30 may also apply.
• Candidates must have qualified JEE Main.
