-recognition,
-success rate,
-how old the institute is,
-course details,
-faculty,
-alumni feedback,
-fee, etc.
** Regarding placements, institutes can provide assistance but cannot guarantee placements because it entirely depends on your capabilities, utilization of skills, presence of mind, communication skills, etc.
To get the exact status of the placements you may directly contact the institute's placement cell and get feedback before joining.
** To get feedback from ex-students, you may simply visit the website and click on alumni feedback for contact details of the previous batches.

You could surely get a good job and have a strong Career with growth path, provided you possess Creativity and technical prowess. First ensure that you possess desired creative talent and are passionate to learn the art of Animation. Animation is rewarding but demanding field where your creative abilities & passion for the medium will hold the key to growth. Learning Software alone won't help you. Acquire artistic skills on paper, then learn application software's for expressing skills in the Digital Medium
Please note that the Best Artisits and Animators of World are maintaining luxury cars like BugattiVeyron, Lamborghini etc. You may have to start from as low as 1L PA but growth is surely exponential and not a constraint for skilled and talented one's. Also note that as an Animator you could express your own stories, become freelance artist and earn from it or even become self employed.

You may take it as a skill development program or even have degree in it. You may also opt for fine art and take up vocational program in animation.
