Yes, IBM specifically never say that they do not want a distance learning degree holder (AS TCS and Wipro does)
In fact one of my friend who is a distance learning graduate has worked with IBM as an experienced hire.
Recruitment is based on certain, myth, facts, belief and process so there are few companies who may not accept but still there are many who accept a distance learning degree. During my initial career, I have done recruitment consulting for IT companies like 3i and PCS but I never faced such situation where they declined to accept distance learner.
However, you should give preference to full time degree from a reputed institute if you want to make career in IT
Second preference should go to quality institute in distance mode such as University of Mumbai's distance learning B.Sc IT/ CS or IGNOU
