Dear Sumanta, let me explain you how the placement process goes in Lovely Professional University.
Students who want placements they have to register it so that we can able to find the target of number of student to place. After their registration we have placement classes which we call PEP classes. In these classes we taught every student w.r.t placements. Also student need to maintain certain CGPA as per company criteria. Now suppose there are 100 students who register themself for PEP classes and clear CGPA criteria, out of these let 10 got selected in 1st company which arrived at lovely university. Now when 2nd company arrive we are not allowing the students who already got selected (if the salary package difference is not more than 1.5lakh)in the 1st company and therefore the remaining target we left is 90.
There is no university which give so much input in training and have folowing excellent policies.
Only in B.Tech there were 1061 placements in the year 2013-2014 and counting and it is not only that company visit in university at th end of the year. Placements happens throughout the year.
When you join university even in the beginning you will see lot of banners hanging outside number of blocks for the companies which are vising lovely professional university in coming 1-2 days.
This is just a brief about placements.
Ofcouse if a student is having reappears and 2 or 3 CGPA no university or college will able to place that candidate anywhere.
If you make good academic record you will definitely got placed.
Recently a company of Dubai of civil was offering around 7lakh package but we are not having enough students.
