Yes, you can pursue studies in any area of your interest. Irrespective of the field you choose you must take the SAT and TOEFL for gaining admissions. You must also present a strong statement of purpose stating your reasons of the shift from commerce to psychology. Most importantly you must have good grades to land up in a top university. Check various university websites for a better understanding of admission requirements and process.
Some of the best universities for UG degree in Psychology are University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, University of California-Los Angeles and Princeton

Top colleges which are going to accept 99 percentile in MAT requires only 70% in CAT. So I need you to consider your CAT score more than any other entrance exam score except XAT. Some of the good colleges you should consider are:
1) BITS, Pilani
2) BIMTECH, Noida
3) We school, Mumbai
4) MANAGE, Hyderabad (only Agri business management)
5) NIBM, Pune
Above 80% is considered as good for Tier II colleges. But with 78% it is not like you cannot make into these colleges. You still got a chance. Don't surrender without leaving a fight. After these colleges then you can consider MAT colleges.

Hello Parthiv, B.Tech in itself is such an extensive course that every branch has its own areas of specializations and career prospects. The same depends on ypur area of interest. Since I am an alumnus of LPU I can share the details of what branches are offered at LPU:-
CSE, EEE, ME, IT, EE, ECE, CHE and many more. Further CSE has its own specializations like machine learning, robotics, game design etc. Placements if I talk abput are one of the best in industry when it comes to LPU. I passed my MBA in 2019 and working in a reputed form with good package. So decide as per your area of interest and proceed. All the best.
