Hi,
Biotechnology is more valuable now a days. In biotechnology, you will get a chance to go abroad.
Research sector is one of the most lucrative area.
I would advise you to go through all the details and find your interest in the field.
Yes, but if you want to go for biotechnology my suggestion is to go for M.Sc from IIT or IISC, it can lead you future to path of success.
IIT JAM Exam is conducted for getting admission in IISC or IIT for M.Sc or PhD.

It depends on your institute. Some institutes don't have internal sliding. Some do have it and Its either at the beginning of first year or the end of it. A notice will be given to you by your college. You will have to fill up a form and depending on the vacancy and your grades you might or might not get a change of branch.

Dear Gurjot, study or teaching hours will differ from UG to PG courses. Every program has different timetables defined by credit points. Undergraduate programs may require 10–20 hours or less of scheduled activities each week depending on the area of study. Master degree study hours differ with taught and research degrees and is based on credit points, an average week will involve about 35–36 hours of work roughly. To understand more you need be here in the classroom and know about the program curriculum. In UK, international students can work for 20 hours a week, part time.
