In comparison to B.Sc in MLT, you can go for B.Voc Degree in Medical Lab Technology. This course will help you in getting more of practical knowledge and give more industry exposure in comparison to other courses. Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Science And Technology is one of the top engineering college in the Telangana and it is ranked mostly top 3 in TS EAMCET colleges and around 7 among all colleges including the nits and IITS. The seat process in this college is based on 2 types one is through EAMCET and other is through JEE Main and IPE score. For the b category there will be a notification in local newspapers during the time of regular EAMCET counselling. And, there will be a separate counselling for these people. The JEE rank expected for your percentile based on my experience is nearly 90k to 100k so it is hard to get into this college also into the core branches like CSE ECE EEE as they have huge competition and getting into these branches you need to have some good caste reservation with high rank or some low rank around 25k so you have little chances to get in to this college with your score and it seats are mostly filled by rich students as it is one of the top college and you need to have some good rank to get a seat. No need to worry once you apply for the seat through b category and try to get in to the non-core branches as they are also good options based on your score and your situation. For your kind information about the fee structure in CBIT that when you get into CBIT through b category, then you will not get any fee reimbursement and you need to pay around 2lakh tuition fee and some other miscellaneous fee and hostel fee separate. I would suggest doing an MS or equivalent in the field of Natural Products chemistry. It is a fascinating subject that includes though not exhaustively, the investigation of useful compounds in herbs, plants, living specimens, trying to figure out its in vivo biochemistry and working out a viable synthesis in labs. Although, I must say two things:
1. Any chemical specialization is bound to exclude the real beauty of botany: the study of diversity and evolutions in the plantae. So, you may want to consider that.
2. A lot depends on your real specific interest in chemistry. Do you find biochemistry fascinating? Or is it inorganic chemistry that piques your curious side? Before venturing into a dual delight, think if you are really interested in biochemical sciences. It is a burdensome major if you do not have interest in it. A final tip: You may still want to consider choosing one of these interests, in which case, an MS in your specific interest in Chemistry is to be found. Investigate the various chemical sciences. Some biggies are: Physical Chemistry (Kinetic studies, Quantum Chemistry, Nano chemistry, Thermodynamic and Chemical Energetics), Inorganic Chemistry (Organometallics, Coordination chemistry, Classical inorganic chemistry), Organic chemistry (Natural Products, Biochemistry, Organic Synthesis and Catalysis), Analytical Chemistry.
