** You must have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks.
** You should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st day of December of the year of admission.
** You need to appear in entrance exams such as :
-AIIMS Entrance Exams
-AIPMT
-AIMS
-AFMC
and many more.

No, It wont be Lateral,
all you are giving exams of First year (PART-I) and Second year (PART-II)
on a single exam on second year.
The same method is followed in many universities.
One sitting is different, in one sitting a person gives exams before the time and get a certificate or gives only final year exam and get a degree (which is not valid in India).

If you mean The American University of India Kodaikanal, then as per its official website there is no information regarding last date for admission.
So regarding this I would suggest you to contact the admission department of this institute and request them to give you details regarding last date for admission in this institute.

You need to check with IIT only. As per as my knowledge they have discontinued the course from 2011 only.
