The Department of Economics, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora started in 2017 with a vision to impart quality education to students so that they can successfully face the challenges amidst this rapidly changing economic environment, and offer data-driven solutions to issues facing our society. At present, the Department offers M.A. And Ph.D. programmes in Economics and gears up for expansion both in terms of the number of programmes and infrastructural facilities. The students are admitted through rigorous selection process involving a comprehensive written test to ensure the selection of the meritorious students. The course structure offers a fine balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which is timely updated to incorporate technological changes and market requirements. Maharaja Agrasen Medical College (MAMC), Agroha is affiliated with Pt. B. D. Sharma University of Health & Social Sciences, Rohtak and recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The college offers UG and PG courses in medicine. Maharaja Agrasen Medical College offers 5 UG programs for which the annual intake is 250 students. All the courses are offered as full-time courses. MBBS and BPT courses are for the duration of 4 years whereas the other UG courses (B.Sc. and GNM) are for the duration of 3 years. The most prominent course of college is MBBS and most of the students approach college for the same. Currently, the seat intake capacity has been increased to 100 from 50 for MBBS increasing the opportunities for students seeking admission in Maharaja Agrasen Medical College (MAMC), Agroha. To get admission, MBBS candidates have to appear for the NEET-UG entrance exam, conducted by National Testing Academy (NTA), and obtain a valid score.
