Hello Candidate,
Usually the cut off lies above 85% for general candidates, will land you into a fair chamce to join into your bachelors.
But since 2020, due to covid scenerio, there has been a lot of students who scored high percentage of marks.
So , in my opinion, the cut off might rise. Cut off also depends upon the number of seats available for a particular subject. So it may vary w.r.t. that also.
Conclusion :
According to me, it could be around 90% for subjects withs less number of seats. And it may be around 85% for subjects with comparatively higher seats.
Good luck.

Firstly, in most cases let me tell you what is difference in BE and B.Tech. Universities those offer other degrees along with engineering named their engineering degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institute constituted for only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology). This may not be true for all cases, but most. Education-wise there is hardly any difference. Now coming to the selection of branch, you need to discover your interests first irrespective of the scope and job opportunities for a particular branch.
