A Control Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions that control dynamic systems and is related to mechanical and electrical engineering. Dynamic systems are systems that constantly change. It aims to bring stability to these constantly changing systems to produce the desired outcome. Control system engineering designs many user control systems from simple dishwashers to complex airplanes. These systems are designed to function with minimal or even zero human intervention, for example, cruise control in auto vehicles. In practice, a control system refers to the use of tools such as detectors or sensors to measure the results of a process. The result in turn is used to influence the control loop, and thus the input influences the controlled output ultimately achieving the desired or stable performance. This is divided into three different types of controls: analog, binary, and digital controls. Digital controls are based on the processing of data signals. Whereas, Binary controls include actuators such as valves, lights, and smaller motors. The binary control system may be responsible for water flows, regulating lighting systems, or the movements of vehicle drives. Analog controls are disappearing more and more from electrical engineering and nowadays control engineering mainly refers to binary and digital controls. Responsibilities:
1- Development and construction of controls.
2- Control and maintenance of existing controls
3- Research, design, and management of control systems
4- Definition of control algorithms and selection of tools.
5- Develops knowledge about the client's business and its needs
6- Purchasing and overseeing the installation of ICT equipment.
7- Leading teams of workers, including other engineers and technicians.
8- Development of hardware and software for control equipment
9- Develop, write, and optimize PLC, HMI, Vision, and Robot programs
10- Ensuring that the process works safely and efficiently by specifications
11- Develop software that meets customer needs or solves a particular problem.
