No you cannot. You must qualify NEET to secure admissions for MBBS. Besides, NEET is the only medical entrance examination conducted in India for UG admissions.

I would't say it is a great rank. The possibility to get a college in IPU counselling is quite low, especially if you're from general category.

It's ones own interest and comfort choosing the branch.
Mechanical engineering is the core branch and In my opinion polytechnic deals with self learning personally and professionally.
