In India, if you study (at least Masters) statistics from some dumb place you will end up being Maths teacher in some high school or at most join government (CSO, NSSO, etc. ). Via ISS exam which is good only in terms of money. If you do your Masters from good universities or institute, there is a huge scope of job and research. Well, "good" research option is limited to India, but people studying statistics as their major subject is very low too. The Student shall have passed XIIth Std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination at one sitting or Diploma in any Engineering branches with two years or three years or four years duration after the S.S.C conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent examination and should have secured not less than 50% marks and 45% marks in the case of Backward Class Candidates.
Admission is base on the Merit/Interview.
