Well, you should decide it by your own. If you are confident that you will clear the JEE next year, then only you should drop. Otherwise, don't waste your time and get admission in engineering college. There are so many private college, which are also providing best education and placements as well. So, no need to be worry about getting IITs or NITs. All the best.

One may find NITs attractive due to their NIT tag, but frankly speaking, all NITs don't stand up to that reputation. For people who have no or little idea about IIITs, I would like to tell them that the 4 IIITs (Allahabad, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Kancheepuram) are institutes of National Importance, just like any other NIT, and focus on the field of Information Technology exclusively (unlike NITs). Moreover, IIIT Jabalpur has an upper hand over the above NITs as it has a collaboration with universities of Japan. So I would suggest going with the following preference: IIIT Jabalpur, then NIT Jalandhar, then NIT Raipur.

Dear Anindita,
It really depends on how the question paper was set. If you found the paper to be easy, then you surely have to get around 170+ in order to get a seat during the first interview itself. On an average, it has been observed to be more than 150-160+ for any chance into JIPMER (though it might differ according to reservations).
If you are trying to enter JIPMER then you have all my wishes. Also, don't lose hope. If you don't make it to the first cut-off! There are many students who still make it through in their second or third cut-off. JIPMER MBBS 2018 Cut Off - Qualifying Criteria
General - 50th percentile
your-oph - 45th per

Hello Anindita,
Let me tell you that B.Sc. Nursing admission is not done through NEET UG examination. Many colleges conduct their own exams. CBSE conducts NEET for admission across all medical colleges in India except AIIMS and JIPMER and it is for courses like MBBS, BVSC and nursing is not a part of it. Good luck.

It is a very good career option. One of the famous universities for petroleum engineering is UPES, Dehradun.
You should write JEE as it is one of the important exams but try to prepare yourself for UPES exam also.
