It is really good to hear that you aspire to become an engineer. Well, all the branches of engineering are equally good and have good job opportunities.
Selecting a branch is entirely your decision. Always remember,
- You should focus on what all you will study in each branch and choose a branch which matches your interest and skills.
- Join a reputed college as this will increase your job prospects.
- Discuss with your seniors and others about the pros and cons of each branch and make a decision which will help you in building up a rewarding career.
The most important thing which you should keep in mind while choosing your education stream is your own interests and career aspiration, no matter how booming a particular career stream is but you would be able to excel in that stream only when you have interest in that particular field.

It's unfortunate that you have not cleared your 2nd year Bsc and have landed up a backlog which has delayed your graduation.
You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another. You may also consult your previous college, if they can re-consider your case. I would request you to contact your Head of Department regarding the procedure set forth by the college.
However, you may pursue your graduation via distance or correspondence mode of learning. There may be some difference in Correspondence and Regular course, i would say it varies from one subject to the other also from one degree to the other. However in general a course through distance learning does not have as much value as the regular one so if you can do a regular course, it would hold a lot of importance and thus be a much better option. The acceptability and recognition of a full time course is higher in industry and the long term career gains are good. Correspondence courses are ideally meant for those who are working and cannot leave their jobs to further their education. It is only to leverage ones experience and not so much as a stand alone degree. The employ-ability of a full time degree holder is the most and those with a distance education degree may face a drawback as far as employment options with MNCs are concerned. However, what is also relevant is your experience; skills and profile should match the profile needed for the job and organization. Thus it would be best for you to pursue a full time course.

Daksh, I am not sure how good you are with maths and programming. If you are, then you must pick up a language whether PHP/ HTML5 (web dev), .Net (for software dev) Java/ Android (for apps) or C#/ Unity (for games). However like i mentioned, you must be good with programming to move ahead in this area since you have to compete with other MCAs and BTech(CS) applicants. So choose your internship/ industrial training very carefully. Do not just go for the cheapest to save money. See the IT company's credentials on the net. for example if someone provide LIVE PROJECTS are they there near the TOP on PORTALS like JUSTDIAL? Or if the company is registered with STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) - all good IT companies are registered with STPI. If a company spends money to market themselves to customers, only then they are able to get LIVE PROJECTS. Also, if you are an average programmer, and if you you're better with creative work, then you can head for web design or even VFX/ Animation since there is a huge requirement coming up in that domain. You need to appear for, IELTS, PLAB 1 and PLAB II exam. IELTS and PLAB I you can do in India. For PLAB II you have to go to UK and write. Once you are through, you can register as doctor in UK. However to do your MD , you need minimum three years of work experience.
IELTS required score :
A score of at least 7.0 in each of the four areas tested (speaking, listening, reading and writing)
And an overall score of at least 7.5
