You will be on the safe side if you score a little above 130 marks in JEE Mains, i.e, you will get admission into MEC.
Also, first round of counseling gets the preference. So if you participate in the second round, even if you have more than the required cutoff, your chances of getting the desired branch are less.

2. Electrical : This is the second best dept of college. Classes are regularly held but yes placement is not that good. Students generally prepare for GATE.
3. Mechanical :This dept has the oldest and experienced faculty members who are willing to share their knowledge. They take classes regularly. Labs are held regularly.
4 Computer Science and IT : The department has some very good teachers and placement is also good.

For Jadavpur University MCA admission, aspirants should have a valid three-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a UGC recognised institute/university with at least 60% aggregate (45% for SC/ST). However, for B.Arch it is necessary to have at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and mathematics as well as 50% aggregate in qualifying examination. Top 2,50,000 successful candidates on the basis of JEE Main 2022 exam will be eligible to attempt the JEE Advanced exam. And for IITs and NITs the 75% criteria is not removed, either candidate must have 75%in 12th or they must be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12th exam (65% for SC/ST candidates). .
