The SSC JE Exam for Tier 1 2025 exam will be conducted tentatively between October and November 2025. The SSC JE exam is conducted annually by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit Junior Engineers for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in level-6 (INR 35,400-INR 1,12,400) of the pay matrix of the seventh Central Pay Commission under various departments of the Government of India. It is a national-level exam that tests candidates' knowledge and skills in their respective engineering fields, including Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. The exam consists of two stages- Paper 1 and Paper 2, and the selection process includes a written examination followed by a personal interview.

Eligibility criteria of BA Hons. programme is pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. Candidates who have not studied English as a subject may be exempt from the English language requirement if they have studied in English medium or an equivalent subject in their qualifying exam.
