There are good job opportunities but the package is not good. Private companies recruitment do not offer good package and you get too much of the work load. So, apply for a particular company which have good condition in the market and try to crack the interview.
Or for better package, go for higher studies like Masters.

ISM-Dhanbad and NIT-Surathkal/Jaipur are best known colleges for Mining Engineering. To get into ISM-Dhanbad, you need to clear IIT-JEE main and advanced(and 75% in 12th). To get into NITs, you need to clear IIT-Mains (A score around 220-240 is good).

Yes, it is possible to join aeronautical engineering with DECE but I would suggest you to continue your UG with electronics and communication engineering as there is wide scope to start your career in aerospace industry after your studies.

The PGDM course is tightly packed and competitive. A candidate with a background in B.Sc Biotechnology may find it a little difficult to deal with the curriculum at the initial stages. But, if you have the will, nothing else matters. We have got people from various backgrounds like literature, BAMS, photonics, mathematics and chemistry here.

It is not necessary but it will be very helpful to attend coaching as you will get proper schedule for your preparations and weekly tests will help you in evaluating your preparations. Arun Sharma is a good book for CAT preparation, it is available for all three sections.
