Harish. The cut off varies year to year . For general catg the cutt off was 670 in 2012 but for 2013 it was around 580.Moreover the call depends on your complete profile . Its impossible to predict cut off score.And also this time a new formula has been adopted to calculate Gate score. But to be on safe side score as much as possible in Gate . All the best

Generally, candidates join lateral B.Tech course after completing diploma in any engineering field to get direct entry into the second year. Degree course will open more opportunities for you.
* Eligibility Criteria :
You need to score minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the diploma course. You need to sit for Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.
* Below is the list of lateral entry colleges :
