At the beginner's level, one can expect a salary of Rs. 5,000-10,000 a month, depending completely upon the ingenuity of the person. Once established, then the sky is the limit for professionals. Popular and reputable wildlife photographers can easily earn pay packets ranging from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 5 lakh a month.

Yes ofcourse you can crack any competative exam including IIT. I will not say that its a easy job but yes any one can do with dedication and intelligence.
To open your mind about the board percentage relationship with passing entrance exam, I will give you a simple explanation. In 10th board you write exam on what you have learned by completing your syllabus and prescribed book.
But in entrance exam, its is not only the syllabus you have to cover but also you should know how to implement concepts in the real situation. IIT JEE neither ask you defination nor expects you to know everything about the subject. They just want you to have strong fundamental knowledge about the subject and ask question which force you to analyse on what you have read. so don't limit youself by looking into your markshteet.
I have seen people securing 90% in board but couldn't secure good rank.

As far as preparation is concern please go through the syllabus deeply and cover each topic extensively and revise as much as you can.
Buy the best book from market, learn tips and tricks as this will help you to solve problems quickly but don't apply on all questions.
