There are 2 intakes in a yearSep/Oct and MArch/April. The application and admission process takes about 9 months so youneed to plan accordingly. Thedeadline for Sep/Oct intake is in Jan and for March /Aprilintake is in July. Hence, youwill need to make an early application.
Once the University receives your application they may takeabout 3-4 months to inform youof the decision. Not all Univmay intimate you if your application is incomplete, hence it is your duty to ensure thatyou send all the requested documents in one go to avoid anylast minute issues.
If you do not want to apply directly or are apprehensive youtake help from UNI ASSIST. they charge Euro 55 for their service of applying to 2-3 univ.And additional Euro 15 per univ.

As Shiksha is an educational Institute which believes in giving unbiased guidance, it would be unfair on my part to give my personal opinion on any particular Institute. However, ICST is an autonomous Institute whose MCA programme is affiliated through PTU and AICTE recognized but doesnt have great value in the job market.
I would like to add here that few of the very important things which you should keep in mind while choosing a particular Institute apart from recognition are: the course curriculum and the study material, the infrastructure, the faculty(their educational background), the placement, last but not least Institutes reputation in the job market for which you should visit the institute and try and talk to the current batch students and get few of the alumnae contacts as well. This will give you a real picture about the institute.

I would request you to mention the Entrance you have appeared for to give you the exact details. However, before you go for Counseling there are several steps which you need to complete, first of all you have to register a date and center for your counseling, then you will be given a date for the verification of your documents once the verification is done you can then lock your Institute choices. I would like to add that the counseling procedure would vary from Entrance to Entrance.

There is no such authentic list of institutes that i can give you. You could do well to create a list of places you may want to learn at, whether they are in your city or not. Then go to their websites and research about them, and even call them and talk to them. Try their website for more details. Typically go for a school which offers all the information including faculty on their website. Now shortlist some you want to visit. Do not hesitate to travel - this is about your life and career. After visiting those take a decision for yourself. Even if you have to travel to timbuctoo or chandigarh for that matter, it is important for your life, so do it. Wish you the best for your career.
