Yes you can do BCA if you are a arts student.
But i must say that After BCA you can't do MCA from any reputed institute or university like JNU BHU etc
Reason is so many student apply there for admission and due to that they take only student with maths in 10 +2.
But you can do MCA from Private institute.
Requirement of MCA is maths in 10 +2 or two subject of maths in Graduation with minimum 50% marks.
However if you are in UP you can appear for the maths paper just after your 10 +2 (with BCA) and then after you can apply for admission in MCA in any university like JNU BHU etc.
I have just heard about this rule in UP don't know about other states so do some research about it in your state.
