Dear Divya,
Your score is average, generally score more than 600 is considered as a good score. You can take another chance for Dec MAT/Feb MAT you have enough time to perform better.
MAT exam gives the overall composite score (out of 800) and the overall percentile. The score is based on percentile basis not the percentage basis.Composite score is final percentile. Percentile rank (from 0 to 99) comparing your scaled score to scaled scores earned by all other MAT examinees ("total group") over a recent three-year period.

Hi Rahul,
Backlogs certainly matter in case you wish to apply to Universities overseas. More than 6-8 backlogs in a degree reduce your chances of being accepted by Universities and colleges overseas. Let me know in case you have additional questions. Happy to help!
