Hello shubham, lateral entry in either software engineering or any other branch of engineering is by the same method. Some States conduct an entrance exam for those who have passed Diploma in engineering and are desirous of seeking lateral admission in engineering courses. On the other hand some States give admission to second year of engineering by lateral mode based on marks obtained in Diploma examination. As per the information available on Parul University's website, University does not requires any entrance exam score for admission to B. Des courses. So the admission are based on Merit in qualifying exam I. e 12th marks. The eligibility criteria is given below.
