Hi
Automotive is more about vehicles which includes all like two wheelers, four wheelers etc, whereas automobile is specifically about cars. While selecting your college, do compare the course structure to know the difference in depth.

NITs consider both JEE mains and 12th board marks for admission. So a good combination of both of them are required. It also depend upon which NIT and which branch in it you want. A combination of above 200 in JEE with 90+% in boads will get you most of good branches in good NITs.

Hello
According to me i suggest theses colleges for CAT preparation in Mumbai .
IMS and TIME are much better than all others.
TIME has far too many students compared to IMS which may become a disadvantage if you aren't too comfortable sitting in a class of 50-60 students.
IMS has fewer students and thus better attention to each student. Quality of teaching, study materials and tests etc. are good at both.
Hope this helps you.
thanks
Best of luck
