Better to go In Cse than ece.the course is very hard if you are doing it from a government university. .Also there are less placement opportunities in the field of electronics in India. Only USA is a place to do an ece degree if you want good returns on your efforts.
also most companies come for computer grads in placements.even if u are an ece student they will want you to be proficient in computer languages in which you won't be proficient as your course doesn't encourage learning of Computer languages.
The coursework of ece is very hefty and doesn't leave the room for learning side things.
Computer sciences syllabus is extremely simple if u compare it with ece and the placements are best if u know languages, which u will learn alongwith your cse course.

Hello prasanth, well 97.6% is tremendously an awesome result in 12th std. congratulations for it. wel there are many engineering branches and colleges you can easily get into with these awesome result. But the prefrence should be completely yours. The field which you are so much interested to will decide your preference. so it should be completely your choice. you can even go into IIT colleges. you can find the details of colleges of engineering under the the engineering option at the top of this website.

Integrated courses have both advantages and disadvantages.
1) Integrated courses such as B.E+ MBA (5 years), B.Tech + M.Tech (5 years) are considered advantageous over regular B.E+MBA / B.Tech+M.Tech (6 years). Since it saves 1 year, many people would think integrated courses as better option. But, the downside here is, in case of BE+MBA (Integrated) the possibility of doing specialisation in MBA is restricted. The students would be good at Engineering and also would have management skills, yet with no specialisation in a narrow domain of management.
2) Integrated M.Sc. In Computer Science (5 years) has high demand in the job market.
3) The value of the course purely depends on the eminence of the college/university in which the student gets graduated. The integrated courses offered in IITs, NITs and various other prestigious colleges are always highly respected by the industry.
4) Few colleges provide integrated courses similar to student exchange programme. The first two years of the course would be done in an Indian university and the next two years would be pursued in a foreign university.
5) The integrated courses such as B.Tech+M.Tech (5 years) will give more subject knowledge, which are not preferred by many companies. The industries will treat both B.Tech and integrated course graduates on par.
6) Integrated course BE+MBA will make a student more of a generalist, not specialist in management.
7) The BBA+MBA (5 years) from a reputed university is highly valued.
8) LL.M. (Master in Law) has been introduced as an integrated course in India recently. Integrated courses such as B.A+B.L, B.Sc+B.L are already there. These save time and money of the students in general.
9) The students need not prepare for two entrance exams. They can do both UG and PG with one entrance exam.
10) Integrated courses hinder the opportunities to pursue the higher degree in a much more prestigious university than the one where the students pursue their UG.

Hello krishnakant, well according to me, right now IT fields are in boom. software engineering, computer technologies etc are in high demand. Future is invinsible as it is the age of artificial intelligence. The fields related to artificiality like robotics, minute computer chips, nano materials will be highly demanding in future. you will be valued if you stand with an extraordinary mindset to do something new. competition will be even tough and challenging among every fields. well it does not actually matter at all if you choose a booming stream.
