I think you should go for CGC
it is NAAc accredited and it is affiliated to PTU
it is older than Sharda univ
on the other hand
Sharda is deemed univ having higher fees than CGC
rest is your decission

as you have mentioned that you belong to general category
and your jee marks is 40
so as per my advice yyou should opt for private engg colleges
specially in chennai or in NCR
