It will not be possible to manage JOB and Full Time MCA. However, if you are keen to pursue MCA, you can pursue the same via distance or correspondence. However, In regards to your question, whether there is any difference in Correspondence and Regular course, i would say it varies from one subject to the other also from one degree to the other. However in general a course through distance learning does not have as much value as the regular one so if you can do a regular course, it would hold a lot of importance and thus be a much better option. The acceptability and recognition of a full time course is higher in industry and the long term career gains are good. Correspondence courses are ideally meant for those who are working and cannot leave their jobs to further their education. It is only to leverage ones experience and not so much as a stand alone degree. The employ-ability of a full time degree holder is the most and those with a distance education degree may face a drawback as far as employment options with MNCs are concerned. However, what is also relevant is your experience; skills and profile should match the profile needed for the job and organization. Thus it would be best for you to pursue a full time course.
If JOB is not a as necessary as your studies, you may then complete MCA through a regular program and then take up a job.
The mantra to success is dedication, commitment and determination. Stay focused and work hard towards goal attainment. You will certainly reap results, remember hard work always pays off. For being eligible to apply for MCA, you have to have mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or statistics as one of the subjects at graduation level. If you fulfill these criteria you are eligible for MCA.
As far as other information regarding MCA is concerned, we would like to state that most of the entrance tests are conducted in April or May. Notifications are out in January or February. The combined MCA entrance tests held in India are: NIMCET for NITs, CET Maharashtra for Maharashtra colleges, UPMCAT for most colleges in UP, Andhra Pradesh CET for Colleges in AP,Orissa State MCA Test for all Colleges in Orissa, MET for All college under Punjabi Univ. GNDU, & PTU in Punjab, MP-Pre MCA Test for all colleges in MP, Kerala MCA Test for all colleges in Kerala.

Supposing that you have already taken admission in some college and you have instrumentation and control engineering. There are two ways. One is there might be upgradations still going on as rounds going on. This depends upon the university and college. Second is that in the end of the first year there are forms released to change your branch. The change in your branch then totally depends upon your luck. I will give you an example.
In a college x in the year 2009, 25 people applied for upgradation out of which 20 people got upgraded to mechanical with lowest GPA being 8.2 however in 2010 only one person got upgraded out of 30 to mechanical and his GPA was 9.97.
The reason for this large variation is that every branch has a fixed number of seats. So in 2009, may be there were many people in mechnical whose branched were changed so the seats were available or may be the previous year so many seats were available. And the reason for lowest GPA being is that may be higher GPA people applied for other branches or may be didn't apply at all. Now think for yourself why would in 2010 only ne student with such a high gpa got upgraded. Because only one seat was availble and that might be because no student in mechanical applied for upgradation or may be they applied but no one got upgraded because seats in the other branches weren't available.
Therefore it's purely luck and according to me you shouldn't enter a college thinking that you will study and get a good gpa abd get your branch upgraded. What if no seat would be available that year in that particular branch or may be a guy with a gpa of .01 greater than you would get it.
