There are two ways to get admission in engineering colleges. In first method, follow state govt's policy on lateral entry for admission in 2nd year. In another method, appear for CET of your state or JEE Mains for entry in 1st year of engineering in any branch.

To identify the stream first you have to select in which subjects you are good for e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Computer Science. Then, you have to choose in these subjects which part is stronger and you have interest. Accordingly you can choose your engineering stream.
